William M. Tatham, Chairman
As Chairman and CEO at NexJ Systems Inc., William M. Tatham is responsible for directing NexJ Systems' strategy, and product and business development. Prior to establishing NexJ Systems in 2003, Mr. Tatham was the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Janna Systems, which he started in his basement in 1990 and sold 10 years later to Siebel Systems for $1.76 billion ― Janna Systems being the world leader in enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for financial services. Customers included most major Wall Street investment banks. In 2006, Mr. Tatham was awarded the NAO Distinguished Angel Award by the National Angel Organization for Angel Investors.
Mr.Tatham serves as a member of the Board of Elizabeth Arden (RDEN: NASQ). He serves on the Board of Governors at the University of Waterloo and on the Entrepreneurial Advisory Board of the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. The University of Waterloo’s William M. Tatham Centre for Co-operative Education & Career Services is named in recognition of his support. He is the Chair of the Technology, Innovation, and Equipment project for the “Embracing Health” Campaign for North York General Hospital . Previously, he was Vice-Chair and Chair of the North York General Hospital Quality Committee. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Waterloo Institute for Health Informatics Research. He is a campaign cabinet member on the Michener Institute Campaign.
Dr. Vaughan Glover, CEO
Dr. Vaughan Glover graduated from dentistry at the University of Toronto in 1973 and is in private practice in Arnprior, Ontario. Dr. Glover has been a life-long advocate for patient-centred care and is committed to it making a difference in the evolution of the Canadian health system. Dr. Glover is the founder and spokesperson for the Canadian Association for People-Centred Health (CAPCH) and the author of the book, Journey to Wellness, which presents a vision and comprehensive proposal for a people-centred health system in Canada. Dr. Glover lives in Arnprior with his wife Betsy and their three children.
Dr. Duncan G. Sinclair PhD
Dr. Duncan Sinclair served as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Science (l974-83), Vice-Principal (Institutional Relations (1984-86), and Vice-Principal Services (1986-88) at Queen’s University. In l983-84 he was seconded to the Medical Research Council of Canada as Director General of Program Operations and in l989 he was awarded Honorary Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. His most recent positions at Queen’s were Vice-Principal (Health Sciences) and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Sinclair has contributed widely both academically and beyond the confines of academe. He served on numerous Advisory Boards and Commissions, most recently, as Chair of Ontario’s Health Services Restructuring Commission. In 2000 he became a Fellow in the School of Policy Studies at Queen’s.
Dr. Harvey A. Skinner PhD, CPsych, FCAHS
Dr. Harvey Skinner is the inaugural Dean of the Faculty of Health at York University. He received graduate degrees in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario, and was previously Chair of Public Health Sciences at the University of Toronto, where he played a key role in the academic transformation resulting in their new School of Public Health. From 1997-2005 he was a Board Member of the Canadian Public Health Association, and in September 2007 he was inducted as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences. He has served as an expert advisor to the World Health Organization, U.S. Institute of Medicine, and U.S. National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Skinner currently serves on the Board of the Canada International Scientific Exchange Program leading peacebuilding initiatives in the Middle East. He is a member of the Canadian Coalition for Public Health in the 21st Century and the Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research. He is an internationally recognized scholar (7 books, 150 articles) on what motivates individuals and organizations to change and a pioneer in the use of information and communications technology for health promotion. His TeenNet and Global Youth Voices programs have created innovative tools for engaging youth in health promotion.
Dr. Alex Jadad MD, DPhil, FRCPC, FCAHS Chair, Academic Research Collaborative
Dr. Jadad, who has been dubbed a “human Internet”, is a global leader in eHealth research and innovation, and has made it his lifelong mission to develop and leverage information and communication technologies to improve health systems and improve health and wellbeing for all, worldwide. Currently, Dr. Jadad is affiliated with the University of Toronto and the University Health Network, where he holds a number of key positions: Chief Innovator and Founder, Centre for Global eHealth Innovation; Rose Family Chair in Supportive Care and Canada Research Chair in eHealth Innovation; Professor in the departments of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, Anesthesia, and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health.
